Center Objectives

The following are specific CEBR goals that will be pursued:

To be a globally recognized center for biotechnology research in the selected areas of research focus and endeavour.
To enhance cooperation between different departments in King Saud University and other national universities in the field of biotechnology.
To develop research facilities and services to academic and institutional researchers.
To improve graduate program education in biotechnology through the integration of research and other educational activities.
To focus on solving real life science problems related to our society in the fields of agriculture, medicine, industry and environment.
To raise the awareness of members of the scientific research community regarding ethical values in scientific research.
To enhance collaboration and personal exchange between the CEBR and international institutes.
To increase public awareness of the benefit and importance of biotechnology research.
To strengthen public private partnerships and working with industry.
