SCIENTIFIC STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

1. Animal Breeding and Biodiversity

The main objective of this group is to use molecular markers in breeding of farm animals and to apply developed molecular markers in genetic diversity studies of farm animals in Saudi Arabia to select superior animals. Develop molecular tools for animal health care and diseases diagnosis

2. Animal Genomics

The main focus of this research group is to study and characterize camel genomics at the level of DNA , transcriptome and metabolites and to search for novel genes that enable camel to adapt to harsh environment.
