The committee decided to approve the proposed mechanisms in the following ways:

Research Program Implement Mechanism

Successful research groups in the field of Biotechnology will be invited by CEBR with details regarding the research program & its tracks that are to be implemented. The research team needs to be highly qualified with great scientific production.

They have to provide:

Research Proposal
The proposal should be limited and focus on research specialty and tracks shown above. Further, the research proposal has to provide repute and guidance worldwide wide for the CEBR. This has to go with the CEBR future prospect and agrees with the worldwide trends in biotechnology. This includes:

• Transfer and inhabit of technology.
• Encourage science publication in famous scientific magazines, which registered in ISI.
• Encourage qualified Saudis Researchers (male & female) honor supervision of postgraduate studies (male & female).
• Exchanging experts and visits with International Biotechnological Centre is a real necessity for creating an innovative, knowledge-based research. The proposed research group must have International advisors & team leaders so as to benefit from their experience in implementing the proposed research project plan.

Provide a complete research Portfolio for the research group, which must contain:

• Names of the research group members, their scientific titles and CV
• Current Research projects on which the research group are working
• Scientific productions and researches for the last five years which are included in ISI database
• Laboratory equipment and technologies used by the group
• Specify the group short (2 years) and long-term objectives to achieve outstanding standard in advance research track. It must take into concern the scientific steps needed to look for financial and logistic resources, if the support from the High Education Ministry stops.
• The group must have a 2-year plan for scientific publishing in the international famous periodicals and included in ISI (the number of scientific papers to publish).
• The mechanism to make the University Post graduates Program benefit from the proposed track (Expected number of postgraduates (male & female) to adopt, train, or supervise their thesis).
• The gain from economic and technology that is made from the share to meet the community needs.
• Research track is to be Potential to participate to realize the vision of the Centre; that aiming to achieve financial satisfaction for the center. This is to enable the centre to depend of itself at end of the prescribed support from High Education Ministry.
• Exchanging experts and visits with International Biotechnological Centre put in effect international cooperation. The proposed research group has to be associated with International Advisors. It is to profit from their experience in implementing the proposed research project plan.
• Intellectual proprietary rights

• It is compulsory to the use the CEBR prescribed forms while preparing the research proposal    (Annex 1). Any research proposal that does not comply with the conditions and terms outlined in CEBR prescribed forms will not be considered.
• While submitting the proposal the project leader has to undertake that this research project is not funded by any other agencies locally or internationally and the proposal is not submitted or sent to any other agencies for funding.

Presented Research Support Mechanism

The research proposals will be forwarded to the distinguished international scientists and researchers for their views and judgment regarding the proposal. In addition, CEBR advisors have to assist in nominate a number of expert judgers to help in judging these proposals; and extent the group is capable to attain leadership worldwide. It has to be in a way that agree with the CEBR future aspirations and comply with the international trends in biotechnology; and as per presented in the research group file. The result s of the judgment must show the mechanisms of coherent researches; with the mechanisms and goals referred to above.
