Objectives:

1. Training of manpower in molecular biology and biotechnology.

2- Organize symposia and seminars in areas of interest to countries in the region.

3- Prepare documents on important issues such as stem cell research, biomedical discoveries, effects of changing environment on plants and animals and GMOs for the guidance of governments in the region.

4- Promote academia-industry linkage and help in the commercialization of laboratory research.
