The CEBR supports proposal from post-graduate projects up to 25, 000.00 SR in all areas of Biotechnolgy and invites post-graduate students (Master and Ph.D) male or female to take the oppurtunity to apply.

OBJECTIVES


  1. Stimulate research in the field of biotechnology.
  2. Activating the role of the CEBR in supporting graduate students.
  3. Activating the leading role of the CEBR through scientific publications.
  4. Diversify the community partnership.
  5. Bridging the gap in certain scientific fields.
  6. To encourage and support new researchers.

CONDITIONS AND RULES OF SUBMISSION


  1. Research proposal should address one specific objective in one of the areas of biotechnology.
  2. The supervisor of a graduate student has the right to apply for a proposal in advance before the student's proposal has been approved. In case, the proposal is approve by the CEBR, an approval from the Graduate Studies Council for the student proposal should be submitted before signing the contract with the CEBR.
  3. Research budget should not exceed 25, 000.00 SRand with a duration of 18 months.
  4. Use the CEBRapplication forms, not to exceed 20 pages.
  5. Proposal will be differentially selected based on reviewer scores and according to the standards and bylaws of the CEBR.
  6. The incentives will not be paid until accepted or published article in internationally reviewed journal is submitted.
  7. The grant covers necessary items required for research completion (such as: Chemicals - consumables - scientific expeditions - Literature - Analysis fees - publication fees).
  8. Thesis should include in its final form acknowledgement for the CEBR including the fund number and date.
  9. The affiliation of the CEBR and King Saud University should be indicated in the published article, as well as an acknowledgement to the Ministry of Higher Education.
  10. The incentives should not exceed 30% of the total budget, sub divided into 20% for the students and 10% for the supervisor.
  11. The proposal should be submitted on a CD and three printed hard copies to the director of CEBR at Room AB3 - Building No. 5, College of Science.
  12. Proposal should be, in addition, submitted to the CEBR email ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ).
  13. The followings should be submitted with the proposal:
a. A copy of the letter of supervision for student's thesis.

b. A copy of approval letter from the related department on the research proposal.

c. A copy of the approved research proposal from related department.

d. A letter from related university certifying the students enrollment in a graduate program.
